About the opportunity:

Are you an experienced public practice Manager or Senior Accountant on the verge of progressing to Manager level? Byfields, one of Australia’s most respected agribusiness accountingfirms, is seeking experienced and client-focused Senior Accountant / Managerto join our Northam team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services, and contributing to the success of regional businesses.

About the role:

As a Senior Accountant/ Managerat Byfields, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to our valued agribusiness clients, based in our Northam, WAoffice.



You'll work closely with clients to provide tailored tax strategies, compliance, and business advice, while mentoring junior team members and contributing to the growth of our practice. You’ll have the autonomy to manage client relationships and the support to expand your leadership skills in a collaborative environment.

What we’re looking for:

We're looking for an experienced and client-focused accounting professional who is passionate about building strong relationships and delivering exceptional client outcomes. You will bring strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge, commercial acumen, and the ability to provide practical business advice to a diverse client base.

- Solid Australian tax expertise, with a thorough understanding of current regulations.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience within a similar position.
- Previous experience within the agriculture sector, including a genuine interest in agribusiness and regional clients. (Highly Desired)
- Experience as a manager or strong experience as a senior accountant, ideally with a clear pathway to a manager role.
- A commitment to professional growth and a team-oriented mindset
- CPA or CA qualifications with solid Public Practice experience (Highly Desired).
- MYOB and Xero background (Essential).




- AgriMaster software background (Highly Desired).
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to build lasting client relationships.
