Position Information

Lansvale East Public School is a small, unique and diverse school located in South West Sydney on the land of the Cabrogal People of the Darug Nation. For over 50 years, the school has provided high-quality educational opportunities within a supportive, inclusive and family-oriented environment where students, staff, parents, carers and the wider community work collaboratively to promote school excellence. Parents and carers are valued as partners in education, and solid partnerships between home, school and community are central to the school’s culture.

Currently, 100 students attend Lansvale East Public School across a range of learning settings. The school consists of five mainstream classes from Kindergarten to Year 6, including cross-stage and stage-based class structures, and five Support Unit classes supporting students with additional needs, including Moderate Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder. The school community is highly multicultural, with 91% of students from a non-English speaking background and over 20 languages represented across the community. The predominant language groups are Vietnamese, Arabic and Tongan, and one student identifies as Aboriginal. Approximately 88% of students require English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) support, and the Vietnamese Community Language Program plays an important role in maintaining and strengthening students’ community language proficiency.

Lansvale East Public School values and celebrates the rich cultural and linguistic diversity of its community.

The school provides a broad range of extra-curricular opportunities designed to support the development of the whole child, including multicultural and community events, creative and performing arts programs, technology integration and sporting opportunities such as PSSA. These programs enable students to develop confidence, skills and success across a wide range of interests and are supported by a dedicated and collaborative staff team.
