About the Opportunity

The Accounting and Finance discipline at the School of Business and Law, Edith Cowan University is seeking expressions of interest for a teaching and research scholar Academic Career Development Fellow (ACDF) on a two-year fixed-term appointment at ALEVA. As an ACDF, you will actively participate in training or other identified measures to support your career development. A teaching and research ACDF will normally have a 60% teaching, 30% research, and 10% service workload allocation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging, research-informed teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, contributing to teaching, unit coordination, and student learning outcomes. The candidate will be expected to undertake high-quality research supporting the School’s teaching and research excellence.

About you

- An active PhD candidate for at least 2 years and have performed casual teaching and research assistant work for the University for a period of 12 months during the past 2 years.
- Ability to teach across accounting and finance subjects.
- An emerging research profile, demonstrated through publications in leading accounting journals and/or presentations at local, national, or international conferences.
- Ability to actively engage in research activities and contribute to the School’s research output.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to establish and maintain robust working relationships with colleagues and students.
