About the role

Step into a rare and highly impactful opportunity as a Senior Business Improvement Specialist, shaping the future of operations at Peak and Hera/Federation in the Cobar region.

You will lead high-value improvement initiatives, streamline processes and deliver measurable results, while working closely with a passionate and supportive management team that genuinely invests in your success. This role offers the chance to influence site performance, embed best-practice business improvement strategies and make a tangible difference across operational teams.

You will play a key role in the deployment and embedding of the Aurelia Management Operating System (MOS), a structured framework that drives safe, consistent, and high-performing operations. This includes establishing leader standard routines, improving meeting effectiveness, aligning KPIs across all levels, strengthening problem-solving capability, and enabling streamlined, single-source reporting. Through MOS, you will build leadership capability, enhance operational discipline, and ensure sustainable performance improvement across site.

- Roster: 8/6, 12 hours per day (Dayshift only)

- Location: Peak Mine, Cobar NSW

Travel options

- Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance

- DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance

- FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne

Key responsibilities

- Lead the deployment, governance and continuous improvement of Management Operating System (MOS) to drive operational excellence and leadership capability.

- Support delivery of site productivity improvement initiatives, ensuring explicit governance, execution discipline and value realisation

- Lead and deliver site-based business improvement projects

- Facilitate workshops to identify opportunities and generate ideas

- Coach and develop leaders and teams in continuous improvement practices

- Analyse data to prioritise improvement initiatives, track value delivery and measure performance outcomes

- Support risk management and embed safe, compliant work practices

- Maintain and improve management system processes and documentation

Qualifications and experience

- Extensive experience in business improvement within the mining industry

- Demonstrated success in leading MOS deployment

- Proven capability in facilitating workshops and leading change initiatives





- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and data analysis capability

Desirable

- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline

- Lean Six Sigma or similar Business Improvement certification
