Embassy XO is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our high-performing kitchen in beautiful Sunshine Beach.
This is an opportunity to take charge of an established, award‑winning restaurant known for modern Asian flavours, premium local produce, and exceptional service.
About the Role
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the full operation of the kitchen, including:
- Leading, training, and developing the kitchen team
- Menu creation, seasonal planning, and dish innovation
- Managing food quality, presentation standards, and consistency
- Cost control, ordering, supplier management, and stock rotation
- Roster planning and labour management
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and WHS requirements
- Working closely with management to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
This role suits a hands‑on, organised, and motivated chef who thrives in a creative and rapid‑paced environment.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, ready to step up
- Minimum 1-2 years of Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef experience required
- Strong background in Asian, fusion, contemporary, or fine‑dining cuisine
- Excellent leadership,
communication, and team‑building skills
- Ability to manage costs while maintaining premium quality
- Passion for consistency, creativity, and high service standards
- Calm under pressure with a positive, solutions‑focused attitude
