Embassy XO is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our high-performing kitchen in beautiful Sunshine Beach.
This is an opportunity to take charge of an established, award‑winning restaurant known for up-to-date Asian flavours, premium local produce, and exceptional service.
About the Role
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the full operation of the kitchen, including:
- Leading, training, and developing the kitchen team
- Menu creation, seasonal planning, and dish innovation
- Managing food quality, presentation standards, and consistency
- Cost control, ordering, supplier management, and stock rotation
- Roster planning and labour management
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and WHS requirements
- Working closely with management to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
This role suits a hands‑on, organised, and motivated chef who thrives in a creative and fast‑paced environment.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, ready to step up
- Minimum 1-2 years of Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef experience required
- Strong background in Asian, fusion, contemporary, or fine‑dining cuisine
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team‑building skills
- Ability to manage costs while maintaining premium quality
- Passion for consistency, creativity, and high service standards
- Calm under pressure with a positive, solutions‑focused attitude
