About the position

As the City’s Urban Forest Officer, you will drive the implementation and review of the City’s Urban Forest Strategy and related greening programs, provide expert advice on integrating canopy and biodiversity outcomes into planning and design processes and build partnerships with agencies, research institutions, and community groups to advance urban greening.

About the person

You will have a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Urban Forestry, Planning or a related field, along with experience in urban forest, biodiversity or environmental planning, ideally in a strategic or project coordination role. Strong skills in GIS and LiDAR analysis for canopy mapping and spatial reporting would also be an advantage.
