About the Role:
Lui Boss Preston is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to support our kitchen operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing authentic Korean cuisine, maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
The Chef will work under the direction of the Head Chef to ensure consistency in food preparation, efficiency in service, and an outstanding dining experience for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
● Prepare and cook authentic Korean dishes, including menu items such as Bulgogi, Kimchi Jjigae, and Bibimbap, following traditional recipes and cooking methods.
● Assist the Head Chef in preparing sauces, marinades, and condiments from scratch to ensure authentic flavor and consistency.
● Cook meats, vegetables, and other ingredients from raw, applying appropriate techniques to achieve desired textures and taste.
● Maintain high standards of food presentation, ensuring dishes meet Lui Boss Korean Eatery’s quality expectations.
● Ensure cleanliness, organization, and hygiene in all kitchen areas, strictly following food safety and sanitation regulations.
● Monitor stock levels, report shortages to the Head Chef,
and assist in receiving and storing deliveries to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
● Support the Head Chef in implementing new menu items, seasonal dishes, and special event menus.
● Follow portion control guidelines and ensure food preparation aligns with cost and quality objectives.
● Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods and consistent quality across all dishes.
● Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and professionalism in daily operations, contributing to a positive kitchen environment.
Who We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Proven experience as a Chef with at least 1+ years in a similar role.
● Strong understanding of Korean cooking techniques, ingredients, and traditional preparation methods.
● Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
● Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on taste, texture, and presentation.
● Strong teamwork and communication skills.
● Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and workplace safety.
