About the role
Reporting to the General Manager and Accounting Team Leader, successful applicant will service our business client base via the provision of a blend of basic tax and accounting functions.
Preparation of non‑complex tax returns
Preparation of basic financial accounts
Bookkeeping and data entry
The successful applicant will support our accounting team in not only meeting statutory deadlines but also creating a client experience that exceeds expectations.
PLEASE NOTE – for the initial 6 months we anticipate a challenging learning curve for the successful applicant, hence for this period this role would be almost exclusively an in‑house role. We kindly ask that you take this into account, particularly your likely daily commute,
prior to submitting an application.
Previous experience
Companies & trusts (learning → developing)
Preparation of EOY workpapers
Reconciliation of ATO accounts
BAS / IAS / TPAR
Working across a wide range of bookkeeping software solutions
Ability to coach and advise clients on bookkeeping and software options
Tertiary qualifications
Minimum – completed a Diploma in Accounting
Preferred – progress toward completing a Degree in Accounting
