Accountplan is a 40+ year established group based on the beautiful Redcliffe Peninsula. After starting out as a small local accounting firm we have grown to become a full financial services group that provides our clients with a holistic range of services and solutions including:
- Accounting, Tax and Business Advisory
- Bookkeeping, BAS, IAS and Payroll
- Financial Planning and Wealth Management
- Mortgage and Finance Broking
About the role
Reporting to the General Manager and Accounting Team Leader, successful applicant will service our business client base via the provision of a blend of basic tax and accounting functions.
- Preparation of non‑complex tax returns
- Preparation of basic financial accounts
- Bookkeeping and data entry
The successful applicant will support our accounting team in not only meeting statutory deadlines but also creating a client experience that exceeds expectations.
PLEASE NOTE – for the initial 6 months we anticipate a challenging learning curve for the successful applicant, hence for this period this role would be almost exclusively an in‑house role. We kindly ask that you take this into account, particularly your likely daily commute,
prior to submitting an application.
Previous experience
- Companies & trusts (learning → developing)
- Preparation of EOY workpapers
- Reconciliation of ATO accounts
- BAS / IAS / TPAR
- Working across a wide range of bookkeeping software solutions
- Ability to coach and advise clients on bookkeeping and software options
Tertiary qualifications
Minimum – completed a Diploma in Accounting
Preferred – progress toward completing a Degree in Accounting
