Eastern Community Legal Centre (ECLC) is a multidisciplinary legal service that works to prevent problems, progress fair outcomes and support the wellbeing and resilience of communities and community members in Melbourne's East.

About the role

The Manager – Community & Client Pathways leads the Centre's AIRR Team, which operates across Box Hill, Boronia and Healesville to deliver holistic, high-quality legal assistance to priority clients. This role is responsible for supervising and supporting AIRR staff, driving improvements in client access and service pathways,



and fostering integrated practice at the intake stage.

It involves enhancing internal systems to strengthen collaboration between AIRR and legal services, ensuring effective use of data and technology, and promoting volunteer engagement. The position focuses on achieving strong outcomes for priority client groups while working closely with other managers to advance the Centre's objectives.

About You

The Manager Client and Community Pathways is an integral member of a highly supportive team, having oversite of the Centre's Intake team and services. This varied role requires a range of skills to provide leadership across the centre on matters related to accessible service pathways for community members to access legal support services.

As a key member of the Centre's leadership team, this role will foster strong cross-Directorate collaboration to continuously improve the intake experience and strengthen connections across the organisation. This role is ideal for a values-driven leader who thrives in a community-focused workplace and is passionate about equitable access to justice.

Specifically, you will have:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in similar role, preferably within NFP/community sector; tertiary qualifications desirable (for example, in relevant administrative/business management studies)
- Highly organised,



with the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise work
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly developed interpersonal, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels, building trust and fostering relationships quickly and maintaining discretion and integrity at all time
- Experience working in an intake and assessment environment, and a high level of proficiency in ICT-based devices, applications and software desirable - with an aptitude to learn new software and systems
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and planning capabilities
- Demonstrated people management skills
- Ability to work proactively and independently, with minimal direction, and as part of a collaborative team
