Fast forward to today - YOT Group now operates a standout fleet of luxury vessels including YOT Club, YOT Blue, YOT 75, YOT Vice, and YOT Capri, hosting over 80,000 guests annually.
We’re all about reimagining hospitality and delivering unforgettable experiences on the water. Now, we’re looking for enthusiastic Deckhands to join our frontline crew and help bring the YOT Group experience to life.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist in preparing vessels pre- and post-charter
- Perform marine deck duties during charters, transfers, and events
- Ensure all activities are carried out with guest safety and comfort in mind
- Support the Captain, Lead Deckhand and stewarding crew
- Maintain vessel cleanliness, setup and pack down
- Help supervise water activities and guest interactions
- Log maintenance needs and assist in basic repairs
- Actively contribute to a high-energy, seamless guest experience
What We’re Looking For
- Willing to work out of multiple locations when required (Gold Coast to Brisbane)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar fast‑paced marine or trades role
- Hold a valid General Purpose Hand (GPH) certificate (Coxswain Grade 1 highly regarded)
- Comfortable with physical, hands‑on work and a dynamic charter setting
- Confident communicator with English as a first language
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Interest in up‑skilling, safety drills and future ticket progression
- Positive, team‑first attitude and a genuine passion for guest service
