About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and research-active Lecturer in Information Technology to teach into our Masters, Bachelor, and Associate Degree programs within the Department of Business and Construction. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality learning experiences for domestic and international students, contributing to curriculum development, applied research, and program quality assurance.

This position involves teaching and teaching-related duties (up to 50% of time), alongside scholarly activities that ensure our courses remain relevant to industry needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and deliver engaging learning activities aligned with curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Contribute to program induction, quality assurance, and compliance with TEQSA standards.
- Engage in curriculum development and research to maintain course relevance.




- Provide timely feedback on assessments and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including industry bodies and regulators.
- Promote student welfare and uphold Melbourne Polytechnic’s values of inclusivity and respect.

Skills and Experience Required

- A minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field (PhD desirable).
- Demonstrated excellence in tertiary-level teaching and learning.
- Evidence of scholarly publications and/or professional association membership.
- Significant professional experience in the IT sector and ACS membership.
- Knowledge of TEQSA standards and experience in curriculum development.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.

Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)

- A National Police Check
