About The Opportunity

Join the Intensive Care Unit team at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced critical care environment.

As a transitional Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively over a 2 year period, within the multidisciplinary team to provide care for critically unwell patients while contributing to a supportive team culture. You will be supported to work towards developing your ICU and critical care skills through education, mentoring and structured transition pathways designed to build your confidence and capability.

As The Registered Nurse, You Will

- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient-centered care
- Recognise and respond to clinical changes
- Engage with patients and carers and support safe discharge, transfer and care
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice
- Maintain professional accountability

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Completion of a Graduate Nurse Program or equivalent
- Knowledge and skills to develop and document a plan of care that reflects the identified needs of the patient, with coordinating safe effective and efficient discharge planning or transfer.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and respond flexibly to changing clinical priorities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong commitment to person-centered care, cultural safety, and ongoing professional development.
