Sommelier – Postino Osteria (Summer Hill, NSW) Postino Osteria is an Italian restaurant and wine bar located in Summer Hill, NSW, with a seating capacity of approximately 130 guests. The venue operates a high-volume service offering à la carte dining, group bookings, and private events.
We are currently seeking experienced Sommeliers to join our front-of-house team. Casual, part-time, and full-time positions are available depending on the candidate’s experience and availability. Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional wine service during a la carte, group, and event service Recommend appropriate food and wine pairings to guests Deliver consistent beverage service across the dining room
Support waitstaff with wine service and glassware management Maintain accurate product knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktails Ensure compliance with RSA and venue service standards
Uphold presentation, hygiene, and service standards at all times Essential Requirements: Full Australian working rights
Current NSW RSA Certificate Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal) Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in a similar hospitality role or Diploma Hospitality qualification
Demonstrated food and wine pairing knowledge Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail
High personal presentation and grooming standards Preferred (but Not Essential):
WSET Level 2 or equivalent qualification Experience using SevenRooms or similar reservation systems Ability to speak Italian
What we offer you: Annual salary: $79,000 – $85,000 + superannuation (commensurate with experience) Applicable for full time roles
