About the Role

Help build and test the systems that power Australia's most critical digital infrastructure.

As a Commissioning Electrician, you will work directly under our Commissioning Manager to execute the Testing and Commissioning (T&C;) strategy. This is not a standard installation job. You will be hands-on with high-tech, complex systems, ensuring everything operates safely, efficiently, and with zero room for error before the facility goes live.

What You Will Be Doing

- System Testing: Assist with component-level and integrated systems testing (IST) across complex electrical packages.
- Equipment Verification: Run point on testing HV/LV switchboards, UPS systems, power distribution units (PDUs), and backup generators.
- Quality & Compliance: Complete point-to-point wiring checks, insulation resistance testing, and detailed QA documentation.
- Fault Finding: Identify, troubleshoot,



and rectify electrical faults rapidly during pre-commissioning phases.
- Safety Adherence: Strictly follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and protected working procedures in live-power environments.

What You Will Bring

- Licencing: Current, unrestricted Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence.
- Experience: Proven background in heavy industrial, mining, hospital, marine, or large-scale commercial infrastructure.
- Technical Skills: Strong ability to read, interpret, and mark up complex electrical schematics and line diagrams.
- Equipment Familiarity: Experience using advanced electrical test equipment (e.g., Meggers, multimeter, power quality analysers).
- Attributes: High attention to detail, a methodical approach to paperwork, and a commitment to precision.

Temp to Perm, Monday to Friday with OT, Weekend work available.
Salary - up to 150K + Super per annum for the right candidate.
