**SCHOOL BASED TRAINEE /JUNIOR RETAIL SALES ASSISTANT**
**FOREVER BRIDAL & FORMAL WEAR, STAFFORD, BRISBANE.**

Forever Bridal & Formal is seeking a School Trainee/Junior Retail Sales Assistant for our store location in Stafford, Brisbane for a **Student in year 10 or 11** with the opportunity to gain work experience and participate in formal training, while completing senior schooling.

**Must be able to work 1 day per week/Saturdays from 8.30am-3.30pm; and school holidays.**

**Traineeship (Cert II) would require one full school day each week for the traineeship, hours will be 10am-5pm.**_Please ensure you have spoken with your School's Careers Adviser about your interest in starting a School Based Traineeship._

Forever is a locally-owned boutique-style business retailing in bridal and formal wear, semi-formal dresses, a range of accessories and in-house alteration service. We pride ourselves in excellent customised service and we are looking for the right person who is bright, bubbly and wants to learn how to help customers to find their perfect gown, and who can assist and contribute to the success of our sales team. Working in a Bridal & Formal Wear store is more challenging than it sounds. It’s physically and mentally demanding, there will be heavy dresses to carry and problems to solve but there is lots of fun and learning to be had too.

To be successful you will need to have the following skills and qualities**:

- Prefer student starting Grade 10 or 11 in 2026 that will continue working with us over coming years**:

- Interested in retail sales and fashion**:

- Passionate about customer service (any previous customer service experience advantageous)
- Learn how to dress women of all sizes and ages
- Reliable, trustworthy and well-presented




- Outgoing and must be able to communicate with customers
- Self-motivated and confident to work with limited supervision after instruction
- Good computer and social media skills

**Duties you need to perform will include**:

- Learn about styling formal wear
- Assist Senior staff with bridal appointments
- Open and close store
- Greet and service customers
- Answer telephone calls, book in client appointments
- Use computer/POS business systems
- Complete accurate paperwork and records
- Assist with social media management - Facebook & Instagram
- Assist with presentation of showroom to uphold an impeccable store - clean, tidy and presentable
- Changing Window and store displays
- Keeping stock and racks and tidy
- Pressing, steaming and preparing garments for hanging
- Unpacking and packing parcels
- Vacuum and remove rubbish daily

**Work Days/Hours required**:
**Minimum 1 day per week/Saturday 8.30am-3.30pm (approx. 7hrs/week)**
- Friday: 10.00am-5.00pm)

**Extra hours during School holidays (2-3 days/week as required)**
Closed: Sunday, Monday, Public Holidays
