Job Title: CNC Machinist

Formal qualifications at Certificate III level or equivalent relevant to the occupation of CNC Machinist are required along with CNC machine programming experience.

Position Overview:

This position offers the opportunity to operate multiple machine types, including a 3-axis CNC machine and 5-axis CNC machine. You will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC and manual machining equipment to trim, route and profile doors and components safely in a production environment.

The CNC Machinist is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machining equipment to produce precision components. The role requires independent interpretation of drawings, optimisation of machining processes, quality inspection, and ongoing maintenance of machinery in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Program and set up machines based on job specifications and production requirements.

· Operate beam saw and CNC machines, ensuring safe and efficient production processes.

· Monitor machine performance, troubleshooting and making adjustments as necessary.





· Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal operation.

· Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and quality standards.

· Comply with WHS policies and procedures.

· Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Qualifications:

· Certificate III or equivalent in a trade relevant to programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machines

· Previous experience as a CNC Machinist

· Programming skills (G-code, CAD/CAM and software experience).

· Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

· 38 hour working week: Mon-Thurs 6:30AM - 3:00PM, Fri 6:30AM - 1:00PM. Overtime may be required.
