About the Role

nWork at the centre of the Alice Springs business community. Chamber NT is seeking a Membership Coordinator to support members, strengthen business connections, and help deliver events and initiatives across Central Australia.nThis is a varied, people-focused role working closely with local businesses, Chamber members and the broader community.n

Working with the Head of Central Australia, you may be welcoming a new member one day, coordinating a networking event the next, or supporting a regional committee meeting.

n

We are particularly interested in candidates who understand Alice Springs, value community relationships, and can confidently engage with local businesses and stakeholders.

n

About You

nWe’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people and being part of the local business community.nYou’ll be a strong communicator who can build relationships, stay organised and represent Chamber NT professionally.n

You may come from customer service, administration, events, sales, hospitality, banking, government or another people-focused background.

Most importantly, you’ll be reliable, motivated,



comfortable using technology and happy working in a varied role where no two days are the same.

n

Candidates with existing ties to Alice Springs, Central Australia, or a solid understanding of the local community will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Build strong relationships with Chamber NT members and local businesses.
n
- Welcome new members, support renewals and help grow engagement.
n
- Promote Chamber NT services, events and opportunities.
n
- Coordinate local events including Business at Sunset, workshops and networking functions.
n
- Manage event logistics including venues, registrations and guest communication.
n
- Support Central Australia and Barkly Regional Executive Committees with agendas, minutes and follow-up actions.
n
- Handle day-to-day member enquiries, administration and reporting.
n
- Represent Chamber NT professionally at events, meetings and community activities.
n
- Help maintain a welcoming and professional Alice Springs office.
n

Requirements

nn
- Permanent work rights in Australia.
n
- Current Northern Territory Driver Licence (or ability to obtain).
n
- Ability to attend some events outside normal business hours.
n
- Ability to travel occasionally within Central Australia, including Tennant Creek.
n
- Based in Alice Springs or intending to relocate.
n
