City of Darebin is seeking a highly motivated, proactive and diligent Talent Acquisition professional who thrives on providing an exceptional recruitment experience to join a newly created team.

Darebin is one of Victoria’s most diverse and vibrant communities. Our workforce reflects that diversity, and we’re committed to ensuring every employee feels safe, supported and able to thrive. As our Talent Acquisition Partner, you will play a key role in strengthening our hiring approach, managing end to end recruitment processes and helping us to continuously enhance the quality of our workforce by supporting hiring decisions that lead to great talent joining us.

In this role, you will:

- Lead and manage end to end recruitment across a diverse portfolio, from initial job briefing and sourcing strategy through to offer negotiation and supporting a seamless onboarding experience that sets new employees up for success.
- Act as a strategic advisor to hiring managers, providing expert guidance, coaching, and insights that build capability, strengthen decision making and ensure recruitment is aligned with organisational priorities and values.
- Deliver a best in sector candidate experience, creating a process that is transparent, engaging, and human. Ensure every candidate feels informed, supported, and inspired regardless of the outcome.
- Streamline and elevate recruitment operations by identifying opportunities to improve processes, designing practical and enduring solutions and taking ownership of implementation to drive efficiency and consistency.
- Contribute to strategic workforce planning, building proactive talent pipelines for future and hard to fill roles. Support the organisation to make smarter,

more sustainable decisions about when to build internal capability, acquire external talent, or develop new skills within the workforce.
- Strengthen our employer brand and employee value proposition (EVP) by helping to craft compelling messaging, championing our story in the talent market and ensuring our recruitment touchpoints reflect who we are as an organisation.
- Drive decision making through data, using insights, metrics, and candidate market intelligence to influence hiring strategies, improve processes, and support evidence based workforce planning.

To be successful, you will bring:

- Demonstrated experience partnering with leaders and delivering end-to-end recruitment processes either in an internal talent role or in an agency context.
- A reputation and track record of delivering exceptional candidate experience.
- A continuous improvement mindset and a natural desire to make things better.
- The ability to balance empathy with efficiency, ensuring candidates feel valued while hiring managers feel supported.
- A strategic mindset, consultative approach and the confidence to influence decisions at all levels.
- Awareness of a recruitment in a public sector context would be an advantage
- An undergraduate degree in business (human resources) or another relevant field.

If you are looking for a role where you can grow your career, expand your impact and help to build a talent function in a community focused organisation, we want to hear from you.
