Based at the City’s Depot in Crocker Street, Rockingham, you will assist the Tree Maintenance team in undertaking hands‑on maintenance of the City’s trees in public open space and streetscapes. You must have knowledge of horticultural practices relating to tree care, a current ‘MR’ class driver’s licence and Construction Induction Training (White Card). The role involves manual labour and/or operating machinery as required to perform tree planting and tree‑care maintenance activities. It is essential that you work in either hot or inclement outdoor conditions.
Selection Criteria
- Arboriculture/Horticultural related industry operational experience
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work in a team environment or alone under direction
- Able to prioritise work and manage own time
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
- Literacy and numeracy skills
- Able to work in accordance with WHS industry obligations
Remuneration and Benefits
We are offering a weekly wage of $1,466 (gross) which incorporates all allowances and penalty rates.
- 12% superannuation with the option to co‑contribute up to a further 5%
