One full time vacancy, either ongoing or fixed for 18 months is available

n

Prison Health provides clinical services to adults sentenced and residing at Alice Springs Correctional Centre (ASCC), within a multidisciplinary service delivery health team framework. In this role you will provide supervision and expert clinical leadership in evidence based primary health care to nurses at the Alice Springs Correctional Centre health clinic.

To be successful, you will:

n

- Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible for the same.
- Demonstrate and promote a learning environment through clinical support, instruction, and feedback including mentoring students, graduates and less experienced staff across the multidisciplinary team.
- Have well-developed knowledge and understanding of the social and cultural issues, influences and sensitivities that influence health care provision for clients and families.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills to influence and convince staff and/or clients on sensitive matters requiring tact and diplomacy.
