About the role
Catholic Homes is seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to join our Home Care team at our head office in Burswood on a full time basis .
Our Home Care team builds lasting relationships with our clients so that they may stay at home or get out into the community to do the things they enjoy.
This position is responsible for supporting clients’ needs as determined by the Exercise Physiologist. The Exercise Physiologist specialise in clinical exercise interventions for clients with a broad range of health issues to maintain or improve levels of physical functions.
Key responsibilities of the role
- Support and review of clients' needs to maintain or improve of physical function
- Implements physiotherapy programs for clients and ongoing evaluation of those programs
- Liaising with Physiotherapist to regularly review assessment methods, completing progress notes in accordance with Catholic Homes Policies and Procedures
- Provides appropriate supervision, direction and support to physiotherapy support staff and other personnel supporting the client.
To be successful in this role you will have
- Bachelors’ degree in sport science or relevant exercise physiology qualification
- Current ESSA registration as exercise physiologist
- Current valid drivers licence and own car
- Current National Police Clearance
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Aged care experience (desirable)
