**About Blacktown International Sports Park (BISP)**

Located along the Westlink M7, Blacktown International Sports Park (BISP) is the premier elite training and playing facility in Western Sydney. First opened in 2000 for the Sydney Olympic Games, the facility has continued to grow and now incorporates a variety of sporting facilities across 54 hectares, including:

- Blacktown Football Park
- Athletics
- Cricket/AFL Precinct
- Baseball
- Softball
- Blacktown Exercise Sport and Technology HUB (BEST)
- Blacktown Disability Sports Centre.

**About the opportunity**

We are currently seeking a Grounds Person Lead Sportsfields BISP who will provide leadership to an experienced and passionate grounds team on a permanent, full-time basis.





You will be responsible for assisting the Senior Team Leader in delivering the year-round maintenance, preparation and renovation of all Sportsfields at Blacktown International Sports Park.

**Qualifications and experience**

**Essential**:

- Certificate III in Horticulture (Turf), Sports Turf Management or a related area
- Current class C driver’s licence
- Experience and knowledge of high standard sporting field preparation and other areas including common reserves and landscaping
- Chemical Application Accreditation AQF3 or equivalent.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in the maintenance and preparation of sand profile sports fields, turf wickets, softball and baseball diamonds
- Current class MR driver’s licence
- Chemical Application Accreditation AQF4 or equivalent
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Ability to work flexible working hours
- Ability to work within a team environment.

**Remuneration and benefits**

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,502.79 per week
- 38-hour working week
- Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
