The Development Services Team is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic civil engineer ready to progress their career in civil engineering and the development industry.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable hands‑on professional experience within a dynamic and growing Council, working alongside town planners, building officers and civil engineers on a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Key responsibilities
- Undertaking engineering assessment against both relevant Australian and Council’s Standards as well as engineering best practices on minor and major land division applications and assess built form development applications including residential, commercial and industrial applications.
- Undertaking site inspections including inspections of existing Council infrastructure and new infrastructure to be vested to Council.
- Attending and representing Council at regular onsite meetings on large scale land developments.
- Review and preparing designs, reports, proposals and specifications to meet Council’s requirements and projects.
- Working on various Council engineering projects including providing assistance to other internal engineering departments and divisions.
- Providing specialist advice and information regarding engineering matters to internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing GIS assistance to the Development Services Division including preparing and maintaining GIS layers and data.

- Project management and GIS knowledge.

- Analytical thinking, creativity, and attention to detail.
- A team‑player mindset and ability to build strong relationships.
