Employment Type: Full Time – Fixed Term – 12 months (potential to become permanent)
Pay: $40.65 - $66.06 Per hour (DOE & Qual) + Super + Benefits

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.
In this role, you will:
Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence
Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide
About Goodstart Craigieburn:
We are a small family centre is located in in a residential area, close to schools and shops as well as community facilities and public transport.
We pride ourselves on being a multicultural centre catering to children's individuals needs and interests, and areas of development.
You will be joining a team of educators who are friendly, dedicated and qualified, providing fun and educational programs
Fixed term contract – 12 months.
Potential to become permanent – room leader or AD.

If you have previous experience as an Assistant Director or in a centre leadership position, or similar, then we’d love to talk to you about which of our amazing opportunities would be the best fit for you.
You will need:
Diploma Or Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved) Only
Current VIC Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification
Holds a current Police Check or is willing to obtain one upon request
Substantial experience as a Senior Educator or in a similar role
Excellent communication Skills with team and families
Has great experience with Programming Curriculum and is able to support the team with environments and programming
Has great knowledge of the EYLF and VEYLDF and NQS
Strong personality and can handle pressure
