IT/OT Support Officer (Physical Security)

We’re seeking a skilled professional to manage and maintain our physical security computing environment — ensuring the performance, security and integrity of the servers, networks and infrastructure that help protect our facilities, staff, visitors and wider community. In this permanent full‑time role, you will take ownership of the City’s physical security systems and provide technical support to the Building Security Services Team, contributing to a safer and more resilient city.
Key Accountabilities
- Supporting and administering the City’s on‑premises enterprise physical security solution stack including electronic security management systems (access control and intruder detection), video surveillance systems (CCTV), electronic key safe systems and intercom systems that protect and secure the City’s assets and underpin the City’s on‑premises Security Control Room.
- Ongoing monitoring of operational status of the physical security computing environment, troubleshooting and resolving any issues arising.
- Assist in directing external security contractors delivering specialist IT/OT engineering and technician services.
- Administration responsibility of procurement, contracts, recruitment and safety administration, general office duties, data entry, report writing, procedure writing and other support service tasks.
- Delivery of outstanding customer service and be community minded with a willingness to improve the quality of life for our community.
- Ensure all work completed is in a secure and efficient manner having regard to own safety, the public, and that of other workers.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Current security monitoring licence
- Comp TIA A+ or equivalent certification
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- A satisfactory National Police Certificate
- Safety Awareness Training Certificate (White Card)

The salary for this position will be from $84,485.93 - $100,282.66 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
