About the role

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Aquatics & Operations Team Leader to fill a permanent part‑time position (58 hours per fortnight). This is an exceptional opportunity to showcase your skills and passion for water safety while ensuring an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Aquatics and Operations Supervisor, the Aquatics & Operations Team Leader will have the important responsibility of maintaining our facilities to the highest standard and overseeing all aspects of aquatic supervision. In addition, they will lead and inspire our team of Lifeguards, maintain plant equipment and records, and bring a creative approach to the role.

- Maintain bodies of water to ensure they are safe, clean, clear and of a high‑quality standard for pool users to enjoy.
- Ensure all aquatic plant, equipment and facilities are maintained and operated in a positive working condition to ensure a safe, clean and hygienic environment for all patrons and staff.
- Supervise and oversee customers within the centre to ensure their visit is safe and enjoyable.
- Act immediately to ensure the safety of individuals in the event of an emergency. Providing water rescue, first aid, administering oxygen and emergency care and treatment as required.
- Ensure that daily cleaning and maintenance procedures are adhered to and the centre is maintained in accordance with the high standard of cleanliness and hygiene required.

About you

- Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
- Current Pool Managers Certificate
- Aquatic Industry Accreditation (LIWA)
- A satisfactory National Police Certificate
- Current senior first aid certificate
- Ability to work a flexible roster including weekend, early morning and evenings
- Working knowledge in all aspects of pool operations, plant maintenance and water treatment

About working with us

The salary for this position will be from $72,362.16 to $87,036.08 per annum pro rata,



depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant. An age modifier will apply to salary for candidates under 21 years of age.
