Position: Welder
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation per annum
Location: Altona North VIC 3025
Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to join their team in Altona North, Victoria.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and Stick processes as required
2. Fabricate and assemble metal components
3. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
4. Operate workshop equipment
5. Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance with Australian Standards
6. Perform repairs and maintenance welding on equipment or structures
7. Maintain clean, safe work practices in accordance with WorkSafe Victoria OHS requirements
8. Measure and cut materials to exact dimensions
9.
Collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines.
Requirements:
1. Certificate III or Certificate IV in Engineering – Fabrication Trade
2. At least two (2) years of relevant experience as a Welder
3. Competency in MIG welding
4. Robust knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and fabrication processes
5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
6. Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Understanding of workplace safety standards and safe work practices.
