About the Family
A warm, holistic, health-focused family in Arundel is seeking a nurturing and reliable Mother’s Helper/Nanny to join their home long-term. Both parents work from home and value a calm, respectful, low-tox environment.
They have two boys:
- An energetic, social 8-year-old who is homeschooled
- A 7-month-old baby who is fully cared for by Mum and Dad (no infant care required at this stage)
The family enjoys outdoor living, natural wellness, wholefood cooking, and maintaining a peaceful rhythm in the home. Their previous helper was with them for three years and became part of the family.
About the Role
This is a long-term, Monday–Friday role supporting the smooth running of the household, with the primary focus on the 8-year-old boy’s routines, learning, and daily activities.
Hours:
Approx. 30 hours/week
7:30am–2:00pm, Monday–Friday
Key responsibilities include:
- Light housekeeping — dishes, folding laundry, tidying, vacuuming
- Meal prep or heating meals (recipes provided)
- Playing with and supervising the 8-year-old — games, sports, activities
- Supporting homeschool tasks and helping with daily routines
- Encouraging movement and outdoor play
- General family support
- Occasionally assisting with wellness routines (e.g., preparing Epsom salt baths or a detox foot bath)
- Occasional short play with the baby in the future (no nappies/feeding expected)
No deep cleaning or heavy household duties required.
