The Role: Kitchen Attendant
We’re seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Attendant to join our back-of-house team in Northcote, VIC.
In this position,
you’ll support our chefs with day-to-day kitchen operations — helping with food preparation, ensuring all food and equipment is handled safely, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, and working closely with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assisting in food preparation and basic cooking tasks
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment, benches, and storage areas
- Supporting chefs during busy service periods
- Communicating effectively with front-of-house and kitchen team
- Ensuring hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards are met at all times
Who Are You?
- Experience working in a kitchen, particularly during busy service
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Close attention to detail and cleanliness
- Able to follow directions and work efficiently under pressure
- Previous kitchen or dish/prep experience is highly regarded
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
