About Erskine Oral Care:
An Australian owned business in strong year on year growth with established market leading products in the oral care market like Piksters® and iconic third party and licenced FMCG and dental brands. We supply our brands to over 8,000 retail store fronts across Australia including Coles, Woolworths, Big W, IGA, Chemist Warehouse and leading pharmacy banner groups. We also supply the dental channel. This position is based full time onsite at our Frenchs Forest head office and you will join our team with a focus on marketing activities and new product launches.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Packaging Specialist to support our product development team over the December–January period while our in-house packaging designer is on extended leave. This is an onsite role suited to someone who can confidently step in and manage packaging development end-to-end. You will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality, accurate packaging artwork and technical documentation across our full portfolio, including:
- SKU packaging design (across multiple formats)
- Shelf Ready Trays
- Outer cartons / shipper packaging
- All specifications, dimensions, and technical details
- Creation of dielines and press-ready artwork files
This role requires the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a quick-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, update and finalise packaging across multiple SKUs
- Create accurate dielines, cutter guides and full print specifications
- Produce press-ready files for print suppliers
- Ensure artwork meets brand, regulatory, and printer requirements
- Manage file organisation and workflows using Dropbox
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for approvals and revisions
- Liaise with printers and suppliers as required
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in FMCG packaging design (mandatory)
- Strong technical packaging knowledge
- Expert user of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Competent in InDesign, with strong layout and technical accuracy
- Comfortable working within Dropbox–based file systems
- Ability to work onsite and hit the ground running
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
Availability
- Must be available full-time onsite through December and January (Excludes our 2-week Christmas shutdown period)
