About the Position
This position plays a key role in the maintenance, protection and enhancement of the City's unique and recognisable character in its parks, streetscapes,
recreational and natural areas through the maintenance of the reticulation systems.
The Reticulation Maintainer will be required to provide efficient, high quality maintenance services with various existing reticulation systems and ensure watering programs are maintained as designated. As well assist in the modification or installation of irrigation projects. With a focus on precious water resources, this role will support the promotion of sustainable use of water throughout the City of South Perth.
To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:
- Certificate III in Irrigation or Horticulture, or similar equivalent specialisation.
- Current Basic Worksite Traffic Management certificate.
- Working knowledge of irrigation design and maintenance, garden design and maintenance, turf preparation and maintenance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team.
- Experience in a similar irrigation position, including the installation, modification, repair and maintenance of reticulation systems, with operational experience with a range of relevant plant.
- Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements relevant to the position.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use a mobile phone and/ or tablet.
- Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
- Current National Police Clearance.
