About the Role
Dandenong Tech School is part of the Victorian Government’s Tech Schools initiative, designed to prepare young people for the careers of tomorrow. Opening in 2026, our mission is to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and build technological confidence. As a STEAM teacher you will design and deliver innovative, project‑based curriculum to inspire students across the Dandenong region.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate workshops that engage learners in STEAM education on‑site at Dandenong Tech School and off‑site in partner schools.
- Develop, document and deliver cutting‑edge, technology‑rich, STEAM, project‑based and problem‑based curriculum programs.
- Facilitate professional development workshops for teachers using cutting-edge and adaptive technology.
- Promote blended learning options and support the effective use of the school’s learning resources to meet student needs.
- Ensure high‑quality teaching equipment, software and materials are used in learning activities.
- Collaborate with staff, teachers and learners to improve STEAM and enterprise skills.
- Deliver professional learning programs for staff from Dandenong Tech School, partner schools and industries.
- Engage with school partners to ensure high levels of student opportunity, participation, engagement and satisfaction.
- Maintain a respectful, safe environment free from discrimination, bullying and harassment.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree or TAE teaching qualifications.
- Qualifications in any of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts or Maths disciplines.
