Overview
gforce is currently recruiting for an energetic and passionate apprentice to work within local government at the City of Ballarat in the Department of Parks & Gardens. The apprenticeship presents a excellent opportunity to be trained and mentored in a supportive environment whilst developing a broad range of skills associated with Parks & Gardens.
The Role
Become a member of the Parks & Gardens team, supporting the maintenance, care and growth of the botanical gardens and city streetscapes. Developing a broad range of skills that will range from propagation to arboriculture. Learning and becoming proficient in the use of relevant tools and machine / equipment operation.
About You
a passion for gardening and horticulture
some basic exposure to and or related gardening experience – but no formal qualification
a genuine interest in this type of work activity
confidently able to work in all weather conditions
be a willing listener and open learner
enjoy working and being part of a team
Be in possession of a current driver's license
