Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital

We are currently seeking a Clinical Nurse for our Subiaco Endoscopy Unit. This is a permanent part time role, working 24 hours per week.

Our Endoscopy Unit is a modern endoscopy services in comfortable facilities, led by exceptional Gastroenterologists, Surgeons, Registered Nurses and other compassionate Caregivers. We provide ongoing professional development opportunities, a supportive environment which provide flexibility to assist work and life balance and the latest technology and new equipment currently installed. Our department is compliant to the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and Gastroenterological Nurses College of Australia Guidelines (GENCA).





The Clinical Nurse acts as a responsible and effective team member and leader, assists in the overall clinical management of the Unit and is responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care and supervision of care provided by nurses in accordance with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency).

The Position

- Provides supervision and acts as a resource to other members of the care team including RNs/RMs/ENs/Students and PCAs/PSAs.
- Complies with and demonstrates a positive commitment to relevant legislation including but not limited to Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - Code of Conduct and the Poisons Act.
- Plans, performs, facilitates and evaluates delivery of patient care that is in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Develops and implements quality improvement and risk management programs at SJOGHS. Evaluates outcomes of recommended actions and provides feedback.
- Coordinates shifts as required; ensuring allocation of caregivers to patients is based on caregiver skill mix and patient acuity.

You will have registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse and extensive experience in the specialty of Endoscopy. You will demonstrate effective leadership, mentoring and coaching and be committed to quality improvement and best practice principles.

To succeed you will have an ability to coordinate and prioritise patient care and problem solve in response to a changing environment, knowledge of Equal Opportunity,

The Benefits

- Salary: $104,903 to $110,954 per annum (pro rata for part time) plus 12% superannuation
- Permanent part time position working 24 hours per week
