Icon Equipment International is an Australian leader in filling and packaging machinery, with local operations based in Reservoir, Victoria.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Machine Assembly/Service Technician to join their team for an immediate start.
Working alongside our sales, service and workshop teams, you will be involved in the fabrication, assembly, installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of filling and packaging lines.
This is a dynamic and diverse position. We welcome applications from individuals who are fluent in English and Mandarin, as the role involves communication with Chinese-speaking suppliers and managing documents in both languages. Candidates are encouraged to apply if their experience aligns with the following criteria:
General Requirements
- 5 years minimum industry-based experience
- 3 years minimum experience in food manufacturing/packaging (preferably FMCG)
- Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification
- Represent the company in a professional manner with a positive attitude
- Flexible and able to adjust to varying work requirements, environments, and working hours
- Very high commitment to quality and professionalism
- Strong focus on HSE
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Intermediate computer skills
- Proven capability in producing high level technical documentation
- Possess excellent customer relation skills
- Ability to meet deadlines – good time management skills
- Ability to employ thorough & methodical working techniques
- Driver's license
- Fork-lift license an advantage
Service Technician Requirements
- Experience as a Field Service Technician
- Proven capability in site installation & commissioning of capital equipment
- Some experience in project management
- High level report writing skills
- Computer skills
- Proficiency with electromechanical automation and industrial machinery
- Experience in fault finding and breakdown support
Fabrication Requirements
- Intermediate experience in fabrication including welding of light to medium gauge stainless steel to food grade standards
- Interpret fabrication drawings and specifications
The role is based out of our Reservoir facility although regional and interstate travel may become a major part of the role, with international travel to New Zealand, Asia and the Middle East likely in future. Australian work rights and current Australian driver's license are a requirement for this role.
