Positive Therapeutic Services is expanding, and we are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and accredited Mental Health Social Worker to join our growing team in Beerwah. The right applicant should be available to start January 2026.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health support to clients across a diverse range of presentations. This position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive environment dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening community wellbeing. Opportunity to earn more with optional Saturday shifts.
What We’re Looking For
- Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AASW)
- Must hold a current Medicare provider number
- Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic intervention skills
- Commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed practice
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team
- Excellent communication, documentation, and time-management skills
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of mental health interventions, therapeutic approaches, and counseling techniques
- Proficiency in client assessments, care planning, and implementation of evidence-based strategies
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and work collaboratively with teams
- Ability to maintain detailed and accurate client documentation
- Commitment to continuous career development and adherence to ethical practice guidelines
- Relevant qualifications in Social Work, with accreditation as a Mental Health Social Worker
- Registration with, or eligibility for, membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Experience in mental health care, therapy, or community-based support services is highly regarded
