Bondi BASC is a vibrant, community-based Out of School Hours (OOSH) service providing high-quality Before, After & Vacation Care for up to 200 children each day. Located in the heart of Bondi, our service is known for its warmth, inclusiveness, and strong sense of community.
We pride ourselves on creating a _home-away-from-home _where children feel safe, supported, engaged and valued. Our educators are committed to child-centred, play-based learning and continuous improvement.
As a not-for-profit service, we are guided by a volunteer Parent Management Committee and supported by a large, collaborative leadership team including a Managing Director, Director, Coordinator, two Educational Leaders, WH&S; Officer, Inclusion Support Coordinator, and an Accounts Manager.

**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and relationship-focused **Coordinator**to support our Director in the daily operations and leadership of the service.

As the 2IC, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting educators, engaging children and families, and contributing to the ongoing development of our program and service culture.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Leadership & Operations**
- Support the Director in managing the daily operations of BASC.
- Confidently step into the Responsible Person role when required.
- Assist with rostering, staffing support, and leading daily briefings.
- Maintain a positive, supportive and collaborative team culture.
- Model professional and ethical behaviour at all times.
**Quality & Compliance**
- Embed the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, and all regulatory requirements across practice and documentation.
- Support the ongoing development, implementation and review of the Quality Improvement Plan.
- Ensure policies, procedures and compliance are consistently upheld.
**Program & Practice**
- Work closely with the Educational Leaders to support planning, reflections, and program delivery.
- Mentor educators to strengthen their knowledge, confidence and practice.
- Ensure environments are engaging, inclusive, safe and developmentally appropriate.
- Lead curriculum implementation that reflects children’s interests, strengths, wellbeing and agency.
**Relationships & Community**
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families and educators.
- Support communication with families, including daily interactions and administrative tasks.
- Promote a welcoming, culturally responsive, inclusive setting.
**Essential Criteria**
- Diploma in School Age Education & Care or another relevant qualification
- Minimum _three years_ experience in OSHC.
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, and OOSH best practice.
- Current Working With Children Check.
- Accredited Child Protection Qualification
- First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to mentor a team.
- Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Confident using childcare management software (OWNA preferred).
- Ability to work a flexible 38-hour week.
