Chisholm is seeking an experienced and student-focused STEAM Teacher for our Dandenong Tech School

Dandenong Tech School is part of the Victorian Government’s Tech Schools initiative, designed to prepare young people for the careers of tomorrow. Opening its doors in 2026, our vision is bold: to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and build technological confidence in every student we work with.
We’re creating a space where learning is hands-on, collaborative, and connected to the real world. Through immersive experiences in emerging technologies and STEAM disciplines, students will tackle authentic challenges, develop critical thinking, and learn to innovate with purpose.
As part of our team, you’ll help design and deliver programs that inspire students from across the Dandenong region to see possibilities they’ve never imagined. As a STEAM teacher in Dandenong tech School, your key responsibilities include:
- Plan and facilitate workshops that engage learners in STEAM education on-site at Dandenong Tech School and off-site in partner schools
- Develop, document and deliver Dandenong Tech School’s cutting-edge, technology-rich, STEAM, project-based and problem-based curriculum programs
- Develop and facilitate planned professional development workshops to teachers in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, using technology,
to engage learners and meet their needs
- Proactively support the effective use of the School’s learning resources and meet student needs by increasing the use of blended learning options, workplace and mobile technologies.
- Ensure high-quality teaching equipment software and materials are used in teaching and learning activities
- Work with Dandenong Tech School staff, teachers and learners to improve their STEAM and Enterprise skills
- Deliver professional learning programs for staff from Dandenong Tech School, Partner Schools and industries
- Engage with school partners to ensure high levels of student opportunity, participation, engagement and satisfaction.
- Maintain a respectful, and safe environment free from discrimination, bullying and harassment

ABOUT YOU
You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools.
Qualifications required for the role:
- Education qualifications – Graduate Degree or TAE Teaching Qualifications
- Qualifications in any of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts or Maths disciplines
