We’re opening a brand new café in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, and we’re looking for a talented and passionate Cook to help us create a menu that’s fresh, wholesome, seasonal — and anything but boring.
Think vibrant salads, nourishing soups, loaded sourdough sandwiches, and flavour-packed brunches that look as positive as they taste. If you love working with real ingredients, have a creative flair, and enjoy being part of a small, tight-knit team, we’d love to hear from you.
?️ About the Role
You’ll work closely with the owners to shape the menu and systems in the lead-up to opening — and take the lead in the kitchen once we launch. We're looking for someone who can balance creativity with consistency, and who loves being in the heart of a fast-paced, quality-focused café kitchen.
? Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a rotating menu of healthy, seasonal dishes
- Help design menu items, specials, and food prep systems pre-opening
- Ensure quality, presentation, and consistency in every plate
- Manage kitchen prep, stock control, food safety and cleanliness
- Collaborate with front-of-house for smooth daily service
- Maintain a calm, organised kitchen environment – even during the rush!
? What You Bring
- Experience as a café cook or chef in a fast-paced, quality-focused venue
- A passion for fresh produce, wholefoods, and creating beautiful food
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Creativity and input on menus, plating, and prep processes
- Calm, friendly, and professional attitude — you're a team player!
