The Muse Edition is a design-led parenting brand creating stylish, practical essentials for modern families, from award-winning play pens to linen pram liners and baby bags.
We’re looking for an in-house Customer Care Specialist to join our small, collaborative team in our Sutherland office. This role is perfect for someone who genuinely loves helping people, cares about the details, and understands the realities of life with little ones.
The role
You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, the calm, kind and solutions-focused voice behind the inbox. You’ll help parents choose the right products, track down orders, and resolve any issues with empathy and care, while protecting the premium feel of the brand.
What you’ll be doing
Responding to customer enquiries via email, social DMs and our returns portal
Providing product advice (sizing, fit, colour, compatibility with prams, etc.)
Managing order issues (address updates within policy, tracking, missing items, damaged goods)
Processing returns, exchanges and store credits within our policies
Spotting common themes in feedback and sharing them with the team (product, website, shipping)
Keeping our help templates, FAQs and policies up to date and easy to understand
Supporting the team with occasional in-studio tasks
About you
At least 2 years experience in a customer service / customer care role (ecommerce or retail a big plus)
Exceptional written communication, warm, transparent, empathetic and typo-free
Calm under pressure and able to handle tricky or emotional situations with kindness
Comfortable using online tools (Shopify, Gmail, help desk software, social platforms – or quick to learn)
Organised and reliable, with good follow-through
Ideally, you’re a parent or have experience in the parenting space, so your advice feels genuinely relatable to our customers
Practical details
Location: In-office, Sutherland Shire
Hours: We’re versatile with hours and can work around school drop-offs and pick-ups for the right person.
