Remuneration: $72,186 - $93,971 per annum

Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

What You'll Be Doing

You will provide flexible, holistic and culturally sensitive antenatal and postnatal support (up to 6 weeks), delivering direct clinical services within your scope of practice to strengthen the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal women and their families.

- Deliver culturally safe, holistic care alongside the multidisciplinary team
- Partner with midwives to ensure culturally informed antenatal and postnatal support
- Develop, coordinate and evaluate Aboriginal health programs and health promotion activities




- Engage with local Aboriginal communities to support culturally appropriate care plans
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with legislative and organisational requirements

Essential Requirements

- Qualification: Certificate IV in Aboriginal Health Care (Practice).
- Registration: Current registration with AHPRA as an Aboriginal health practitioner.
- Evidence of diversity claim if applicable (state which category): Confirmation of Aboriginality.

Selection Criteria

- This is an identified Aboriginal Position. This is a genuine occupational qualification under Section 14d of the Anti‑Discrimination Act 1977, NSW.
- Being a woman is also a genuine occupational qualification under Section 31 of the Anti‑Discrimination Act 1977, NSW.
- Certificate IV Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice)



with current registration as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner and willingness to undertake credentialing for maternal health.
- Demonstrated experience in working with multidisciplinary teams and liaising with other health professionals and external agencies to facilitate integrated care for Aboriginal people.
- Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal women, families and children.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, time management, and computer literacy including word processing and data entry skills.
- Active involvement in the local Aboriginal community with demonstrated understanding and commitment to improving health issues impacting Aboriginal communities.
- Ability to work unsupervised, use own initiative and take a lead role in initiating and carrying out community screening activities.
