They are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee their automated tank cleaning line and plant equipment. This hands-on role is ideal for a mechanical fitter or engineer with expertise in automation, mechanical systems, and team leadership.

Key responsibilities:

- Manage all maintenance activities for plant equipment, including automated cleaning systems.
- Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Conduct hands-on fault-finding, repairs, and servicing on mechanical, pneumatic, and automated systems.
- Respond rapidly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and asset documentation.
- Coordinate contractors and service providers as needed.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise equipment performance.
- Plan and execute shutdowns and major overhauls.
- Ensure WHS compliance, risk assessments, and safe work practices.
- Identify reliability improvements and equipment upgrades.
- Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance budgets.
- Provide technical training and support to operators.

Essential Criteria:

- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma (or equivalent).
- Proven experience with automated industrial equipment and production lines.
- Strong mechanical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of pumps, fluid systems, motors,



pneumatics, valves, and automation.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and preventative maintenance systems.

Compliance & Safety:

- Maintain all work in line with WHS standards and company procedures.
- Conduct and document risk assessments.
- Promote a secure workplace culture.

Desirable:

- Experience in food, chemical, or industrial cleaning systems.
- Knowledge of Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement processes.
- Experience managing small teams or contractors.

Work Hours & Conditions:

- Monday-Friday, 7:00am start; 38 hours/week, with minimal additional hours.
- Some after-hours/weekend work during shutdowns or urgent repairs.
