Trade Assistant – WesTrac Cat

Location: Guildford, WA, AU

Reporting into the WIP Shed Supervisor, the Trade Assistant will join our WIP Shed Department on a Full‑Time basis at our South Guildford location.

Responsibilities

- Move and manage materials within the WIP Shed
- Process reman cores and dispatching duties
- Operate forklifts (counterbalance and high‑reach)
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory management
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow
- Support the team in maintaining high safety and operational standards

Roster: 5 On, 2 Off – 2 weeks dayshift, 2 weeks nightshift – 10 hrs/day

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience with mining, construction, or industrial equipment
- Forklift Licence required; dogging licence highly desired
- Experience with Caterpillar Dealership and engine overhauls is an advantage
- Positive attitude with strong work ethic
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5’s
