Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic secondary teacher of English who is committed to excellence, passionate about teaching secondary students, and holds a sound understanding of the Western Australian English curriculum.

Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging, high‑impact lessons in English for secondary students.
- Differentially teach the curriculum and implement cutting-edge strategies for both high‑ and low‑achieving students.
- Build positive relationships with students and support their positive futures.
- Show expertise and use high‑impact learning strategies to engage students.
- Act as an active contributor to the English Learning Area, reflecting on practice to support professional growth.

Eligibility

- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
- Consent to a nationally coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before starting.
