We are seeking Disability Support Workers experienced in complex care behaviours to join our fantastic team in Adelaide.

Your role is to support our clients who have diverse and complex needs. Your support and mentoring can have a meaningful impact on their lives, however, there will be challenging days due to behaviours and mental health. It's essential to have confidence and resilience to navigate these moments effectively.

You have a mature head on your shoulders, have confidence, resilience, and the ability to think on your feet, and put practical solutions in place. You are experienced in maintaining professional boundaries with empathy and respect. You are supportive and have strong communication skills.

You have experience in working with people with complex and diverse needs such as:

- Challenging and complex behaviours
- Volatile physical and verbal aggression and de-escalation
- Strong background in youth
- Understands PDA ASD (providing choices)

Rosters: days, evenings and active nights available. This is a 2:1 support.

What we need from you:

- Working rights status
- Certificate III in Disability / Community Services or relevant industry or lived experience
- Current Disability Screening (DHS or NDIS worker Screening)
- Current Working with Children check
- Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR)
- Australian Drivers Licence and clean, roadworthy vehicle for transporting clients
- Comprehensive Car insurance for business use
- Good English language skills for both verbal and written communication
- Attention to detail to follow documented plans and for reporting/record-keeping
- An ability to develop positive relationship whilst maintaining strong professional boundaries

Please note we cannot employ candidates with Cert 4 In Disability (or similar) as our funding is capped at Cert 3 level.
