Job Description
This newly created role sits in the Parks and Environment team within the Technical Services directorate and the successful candidate will ensure the successful delivery of parks development projects and the City’s Capital Works Program in alignment with approved project plans, timelines, and program requirements, contributing to high-quality public spaces and community outcomes.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Support the planning, design and successful delivery of parks projects and the capital works program.
- Prepare and implement communications plans to keep internal and external stakeholders informed of appropriate milestones, issues and achievements.
- Participate on evaluation panels and negotiate/coordinate contracts for architects, builders and other service providers.
- Form and maintain partnerships with City staff, community and stakeholder groups, other government and non-government agencies.
- Prepare written submissions, reports and other correspondence as required.

Essential criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in landscape architecture or related discipline, or a minimum 3 years equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated project and contract management skills with the ability to deliver high quality outcomes within budget and tight timeframes.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability in developing, implementing and maintain systems, strategies and procedures.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in project deliverables.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and contribute to a shared vision.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency in project management software word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
- Current C-class WA Drivers Licence.
Salary package:
In line with the City of Subiaco Inside Staff Industrial Agreement 2025, this position is classified as a Level 6 and the salary range is $97,864 to $107,640 per annum, exclusive of superannuation
