Rainbow Imports Pty Ltd is an Australian-owned retailer and national distributor of premium home leisure products, including furniture, scooters, gym equipment, and game tables. We operate Australia-wide through a highly efficient e-commerce and logistics network, supplying both retail customers and wholesale partners.

As the business continues to expand, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Controller to join our Wetherill Park head office. This role supports procurement planning, stock control, supplier coordination, and inventory accuracy to drive stable stock levels and smooth nationwide distribution.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock levels across warehouses and online sales channels

• Coordinate purchasing, import schedules, and stock transfers with precision

• Analyse sales patterns and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock replenishment

• Investigate stock discrepancies, quality issues, and supplier-related concerns

• Liaise with logistics teams, freight forwarders, and warehouse staff to ensure timely deliveries

• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and update supplier records

• Process purchase orders, verify invoices, and assist with payment queries





• Update and maintain the internal product database and inventory system

• Monitor slow-moving and fast-selling products and prepare forecasting reports

• Perform regular cycle counts, spot checks, and assist with annual stock take

• Support new product introductions through market research and cost analysis

Skills we need

• Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in purchasing, procurement, and inventory control

• Robust understanding of procurement and inventory management principles and supply chain processes

• Proficient in database management, Excel, and inventory systems

• Highly organised, analytical, and detail-focused

• Strong communication skills in verbal and written English

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Mandarin proficiency is an advantage but not required
