Support Worker – Casual | Sutherland & Surrounding Suburbs
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and qualified individuals to join our team as Casual Support Workers in the Sutherland & Surrounding Suburbs. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to add a few hours per week to support people in their local community and make a positive impact on the lives of individuals requiring assistance and lead a fulfilling and rewarding life themselves.
As a Support Worker, you will provide essential support to clients in the community, helping them maintain independence and quality of life. Your duties will include assisting with daily living tasks, providing companionship, and supporting individuals to engage with their local environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to clients in the community
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, mobility, and household tasks
- Help clients access services and participate in social and recreational activities
- Ensure that client’s needs are met with dignity and respect
- Follow care plans and maintain accurate records
About You:
We are looking for individuals who are based locally in Sutherland & Surrounding Suburbs and are available for flexible hours. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Relevant qualifications (Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to complete)
- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Australian driver’s licence and comprehensively insured vehicle
- COVID-19 vaccination (as required by health regulations)
- Australian work rights
- Availability to work flexible hours
- Compassionate, reliable and proactive
- A great communicator and active listener
- Someone who takes initiative and works well independently
- Willing to travel to multiple clients' homes for shorter shifts in Sutherland and surrounding areas.
